Our vote for 'best beach on Tenerife' goes to this one. Why? It's huge, the sand is flat and a golden-pink colour (or was that just my shades?), the sea is shallow enough to warm up very quickly, the water almost dead flat (due to a long pier which almost turns it into a lagoon), the sea is also crystal clear and teeming with fish, there is natural shade at the back of the beach, thanks to the trees, there are showers, toilets and changing cubicles and it is completely undeveloped.
No hotels, no shops, no restaurants. Just a few beach shacks serving ice cream, drinks and a very basic snack.
There were very few tourists here - it's a long way from any of the main resorts, but there is a small town next to the beach where you can buy whatever you need.
