Costa Adeje is often described as an 'upmarket resort' in the tourist brochures and online guides. We found it was simply a continuation of the large Playa de las Americas resort, with all its accompanying facilities, and development.
The beach here is spectacular - huge and flat, with the typical dark, volcanic sand of Tenerife and clear inviting water. There is a wide range of shops, bars, restaurants and evening entertainment, mostly catering for British and Eropean visitors.
Costa Adeje is also well placed for visiting the Siam Park water park, which is truly spectacular and will keep you and your children happy for whole days. Buses run to the park throughout the day.
