Costa del Silencio may have been well named originally, but now, as the closest beach to the airport, it is far from silent.
However, it is not as developed and commercial as its neighbour at Playa de las Americas and will offer holiday makers a more relaxed atmosphere with fewer demands on their time and purse from over exuberant reps and salesmen or women! It is however, a little older and looks its age.
The main drawback with this resort is the lack of any real beach - the nearest is a short walk away towards Las Galletas and even this is just a small strip of black sand with little shelter from the Atlantic waves.
